Folks, sorry to say but we have some unpleasant news to share:

We’re a bit short ahead of tomorrow’s fundraising deadline as our donations have slowed a bit heading into the summer. We expected this — every fundraiser in the party knows about the dreaded “summer slump."

But with everybody extra excited about spending time outside with family and friends this year ( and rightly so! ), it means our fundraising numbers are dropping a bit earlier than we expected them to.

We’re not trying to scare you into donating. We’re just telling you the truth. The sky isn’t falling and this isn’t a final notice for our campaign, but we’d like to catch up on hitting this goal before summer actually starts.

Because even in a 50-50 split Senate, Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans are wielding their power. They just leveraged the filibuster to block a bipartisan commission on the January 6th insurrection.

That’s what we’re up against, and we can’t give them an inch. So that’s why we’re asking:

Will you make a donation of any amount — even $5 makes a huge difference — to our campaign before tomorrow’s deadline?
