The For the People Act is desperately needed, but the Far Right is waging
an all-out war to block its passage in the Senate. Led by Mitch McConnell,
the Right will stop at nothing to prevent this bill from passing as they
know the bill threatens many of the dirty tricks they exploit to stay in
power.

We JUST saw that McConnell and his allies are even willing to use the
filibuster to block a bipartisan investigation into the January 6
insurrection – their willingness to abuse the filibuster knows no limits,
and we can’t let that stand in the way of saving our democracy.

Unless the filibuster is eliminated or significantly reformed, there is
virtually NO chance of the For the People Act passing and ushering in
desperately needed measures that would help root out corruption and
strengthen our democracy.
