New data: National e-cigarette unit sales through March 2021 show highest sales ever ([link removed])

New data from the CDC Foundation of monthly e-cigarette unit sales from January 2017 to March 2021 show that sales have now exceeded pre-EVALI outbreak levels. Findings also show market shares of disposable e-cigarettes and menthol-flavored prefilled cartridges significantly increased in 2020, likely influenced by the federal enforcement policy that exempted these flavors and product types.

Alabama – Gov. Ivey signed into law a Tobacco 21 bill that also requires manufacturers to submit a newly established state registry. However, the bill disappointingly removes non-nicotine e-cigarettes from any regulation without a system in place to test nicotine content in e-cigarettes.
