Last week, we reached out to announce that two leaders of the Democratic
Party -- House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Democratic Leader Chuck
Schumer -- will be addressing our 2019 National Gala.

Today, we're announcing that the head of Democratic Israel will also be
joining us. Former Prime Minister Ehud Barak will speak on Monday, October
28 at our National Conference.

Ehud Barak has been one of Israel's leading voices in the struggle to
achieve a two-state solution and remains one of the most vocal opponents
of creeping annexation.

A prominent critic of the Netanyahu government, Barak forged a progressive
alliance during the past election which put forward a positive vision for
engaging the Palestinians and working toward a lasting peace.

The former prime minister is the latest addition to a speaker list which
includes prominent Israeli politicians like Joint List Leader Ayman Odeh
and Democratic Union Leader Nitzan Horowitz. The up-to-date list of
Israeli, Palestinian and American lawmakers, activists and experts can be
