Over the past few weeks, I’ve seen Yvette champion the
economic recovery of Brooklyn by bringing together small
businesses, families, and workers to discuss what Congress has
done through the American Rescue Plan and what’s left to do.

Not only has Yvette championed economic recovery here at
home, BUT she’s also been active in drawing attention to digital
redlining and other issues facing the diverse communities without
access to the educational tools and broadband access to
participate in the 21st-century economy.

Healing after the COVID-19 crisis means coming back better
than before -- we don’t want to get back to “normal” because
normal was inequitable for far too many Americans.

COVID showed us the precarity of restaurant and other
essential workers as well as just how important they are to our
communities. We also saw how access to digital tools can have
lasting effects on our education and equity in our growing
digital economy.

Yvette is fighting for Brooklyn in Washington every day and
fighting to make right the inequalities we’ve seen exacerbated by
the COVID-19 crisis.

Help her keep up this fight for years to come by making a
$15 donation today. We need progressive voices like Yvette’s in
Congress now more than ever.
