After a violent pro-Trump mob of right-wing extremists stormed the Capitol on January 6, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul forced a Senate vote to throw out Trump's impeachment trial before it even began, opening the door for Trump's eventual acquittal.

What's worse? Rand Paul is still amplifying Trump's Big Lie whenever he gets the chance. But Bernie Sanders knows progressives like Charles Booker can defeat him next year.
