After a violent pro-Trump mob of right-wing extremists stormed the Capitol on January 6, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul forced a Senate vote to throw out Trump's impeachment trial before it even began, opening the door for Trump's eventual acquittal.
What's worse? Rand Paul is still amplifying Trump's Big Lie whenever he gets the chance. But Bernie Sanders knows progressives like Charles Booker can defeat him next year.

While Paul blocked legislation that would have made lynching a federal hate crime and voted against the COVID-19 relief package, Booker is focused on bringing progressive priorities like criminal justice reform, affordable health care, and a Green New Deal to Washington.
That's the kind of leadership we need now more than ever. But we won't lie to you -- this will be an uphill battle. Booker has progressive champions like Bernie on his side -- but Rand Paul secured Donald Trump's endorsement, and the money is flowing in.
