We sued in federal court after these prospecting permits were renewed in 2020 without consideration of environmental impacts, with no public input, and despite major risks to the environment. They would have allowed Twin Metals to drill holes, build roads and do other mining exploratory work along miles of Birch Lake shoreline, as well as along miles of the Boundary Waters Wilderness border.
