Justice for Mother's Day
As Mother's Day approaches, we celebrate the work of Opportunity Agenda partners who are advocating for mothers on two important issues. Mothering Justice is advancing the cause of&nbsp;paid leave.&nbsp;Freedom for Immigrants&nbsp;is working to create an affirmative vision for criminal justice reform and immigrant opportunity.

Staff Updates
We celebrated a few in-house promotions this month.&nbsp;
Charlie Sherman<[link removed]> has been promoted to Research and Evaluation Coordinator. He will be taking on coordinating the Narrative Research Lab and other research projects.&nbsp;
Porsh&eacute;a Patterson-Hurst<[link removed]>&nbsp;was promoted to Research Manager, where she is responsible&nbsp;for envisioning and managing major&nbsp;research initiatives and&nbsp;identifying opportunities with our partners to interpret and uplift findings.&nbsp;And
Erika Williams<[link removed]> has been promoted to Chief Operations Officer, overseeing&nbsp;human resources, operations, and finance. Congratulations to all three!

The Amp: Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month
In&nbsp;the latest edition of The Amp,&nbsp;we celebrate APA Heritage month.&nbsp;The pandemic year brought increased incidents of anti-Asian discrimination and violence. In the coming weeks, we will be releasing key messaging tools on how to counter this racism. We also look ahead to Mother's Day and note upcoming&nbsp;events,&nbsp;historical anniversaries, and cultural hooks to plan your outreach around, including marking one year&nbsp;since George Floyd's murder and the ongoing&nbsp;calls&nbsp;for justice that&nbsp;began in its wake.
