The Louisiana Legislature is considering legislation to do away with concealed carry permits. SB 118 would allow individuals to carry concealed weapons without going through proper safety training first. As Governor Edwards said, requiring permits for concealed carry is "the right balance to strike" between personal freedom and public safety.
