One year ago, then-candidate Biden called on Trump to take immediate steps toward sanctions relief in a pandemic, and recognized that U.S. sanctions impede the flow of medicines and essential goods to Iran. However, while Iran is suffering through its fourth Covid wave, the Biden administration is yet to lift any of Trump’s sanctions.
