Join us in a car rally to call attention to and show grassroots support in Oxnard, for AB1400 -- the California Guaranteed Healthcare for All Act of 2021 (CalCare).
We are so excited to demonstrate the strength and power of the single payer movement with the 18 events that are happening across the state this Saturday. Come support California single payer!
We will have a SpeakOut on why the healthcare system needs to change, followed by a planned caravan route to draw attention to the movement. We will have extra signs available for car decorating. Please join us!

Please take a moment to read these important guidelines for attending the car rally. We want to have a safe and successful day of action with you!
SAFETY: As the number of Covid-19 cases continues to rise and new variants of the virus continue to circulate throughout the state, we want to urge all attendees to follow the most stringent safety precautions for the event.
- Please stay in your car at all times.
- Wear a face mask if your windows are down.
- Use your event organizer’s conference call line listed below to communicate with other attendees at the start of the event and during the event instead of face-to-face interactions.
- If you must exit your vehicle, make sure to wear your mask at all times, and stay at least 6 feet away from others. Avoid gathering outside of your vehicle in groups.
- Do not attend if you are sick or if you have recently been exposed to someone who is sick.
- Bring hand sanitizer.
- Read CNA's Protest Guidelines to Reduce Risk <[link removed]> for more recommendations.
DECORATING YOUR CAR: We highly encourage you to decorate your car with signs! Please do this in advance and not at the meetup site. You can use phrases such as: Health Care Is A Human Right, Pass AB 1400, Health Care for All Californians! Everybody In Nobody Out, Single Payer Now, (Legislator Name): Guaranteed Health Care Now! We also have aprintable CalCare placard <[link removed]>. There will be some CalCare placards and car flags available at the event. Sanitize your hands after handling any items.
NO RESTROOM: Be sure to use the restroom before arriving at the event.
