Join us Thursday, April 15 at 7pm for our chapter meeting. We will discuss local housing justice efforts, hear updates on the statewide Medicare 4 All campaign, look towards our campaign to Fight for the Public, and more! We will also go over ways to get involved in the national DSA campaign to pass the PRO Act and talk about local labor successes with contributions from DSA members. Medicare for All March/Rally
Saturday, April 17, 1pm at the SB Courthouse (Anacapa St. side)
The purpose of this rally and march is to call attention to and demonstrate grassroots support in Santa Barbara for AB1400, the California Guaranteed Healthcare for All Act of 2021, currently before the California Assembly Health Committee. We are calling on our 37th District Assemblymember Steve Bennett, who has stated publicly that he supports the concept of single payer healthcare, to now put his clearly-stated values first, and publicly state his support for AB1400. We are asking our 19th Senate District State Senator Monique Limón to publicly state her support for AB1400 as well.

DSA SB’s ‘Fight for the Public’ campaign seeks to bring public workers and the local community together in solidarity to fund and protect public jobs and services.
