Greetings Friend,
Next week is crucial for the Save Women's Sports Act, and members of the NC General Assembly need to hear from you right away. The bill will be heard in The NC House Judiciary I Committee this coming Wednesday, April 14th. The future of the billâand womenâs sports in North Carolinaâis at stake.
Opponents of this bill have been organizing around the state and have sent hundreds of emails to our legislators. I know that we frequently send action items, but this is urgent. Please contact your NC House Representatives TODAY and ask them to support the Save Womenâs Sports Act. North Carolinaâs current and future female athletes are counting on us to preserve fairness and equality in womenâs sports.
Title IX created a level playing field for womenâs sports that must be preserved. A 2020 poll by the American Principles Project found that 75.46% of North Carolinians believe that biological males shouldnât compete in womenâs sports. This issue is uniting women from all walks of lifeâand many political persuasionsâwho believe in fairness and equality for our female athletes.
The time to act is now. Please help us save women's sports in North Carolina by clicking to contact your Representative and ask them to vote FOR the Save Women's Sports Act â HB358. <[link removed]>
