Next
week is crucial for the Save Women's Sports Act, and members of the NC
General Assembly need to hear from you right away. The bill
will be heard in The NC House Judiciary I Committee this coming
Wednesday, April 14th. The future of the bill—and women’s sports in
North Carolina—is at stake.
Opponents of this bill have been
organizing around the state and have sent hundreds of emails to our
legislators. I know that we frequently send action items, but
this is urgent. Please contact your NC House
Representatives TODAY and ask them to support the Save Women’s Sports
Act. North Carolina’s current and future female athletes are counting
on us to preserve fairness and equality in women’s
sports.
Title IX created a level playing field for women’s
sports that must be preserved. A 2020 poll by the American Principles
Project found that 75.46% of North Carolinians believe that biological
males shouldn’t compete in women’s sports. This issue is uniting women
from all walks of life—and many political persuasions—who believe in
fairness and equality for our female athletes.
