The COVID-19 pandemic proved what we already knew: America's infrastructure needs work.
Our roads, energy grid, and water system ensure public health and safety -- but they've been underinvested in. And for too long, corporations haven't been paying their fair share in taxes. Workers have been earning poverty wages, while rent, child care, education, and health care costs skyrocketed. We're living with an economy that makes the rich richer and the poor poorer, but it doesn't have to be this way.
Last week in Pittsburgh, President Joe Biden unveiled our roadmap to rebuilding the American middle class and creating a future that works for everyone: the American Jobs Plan.
John, here's just a snapshot of what's in store for America if we can pass the American Jobs Plan:
• Modernizing 20,000 miles of highways, roads, and main streets and fixing 10,000 bridges.
• Delivering clean drinking water, a renewed electric grid, and high-speed broadband to all Americans.
• Modernizing our nation's schools and child care facilities.
• Creating good-quality jobs that pay prevailing wages in safe and healthy workplaces while protecting workers' right to organize, join a union, and bargain collectively with their employers.
• And more!
The American Jobs Plan will create millions of good jobs, rebuild our country's infrastructure, and create an economy that works for everyone. Help me show the American people are behind this infrastructure plan. Will you add your name right now to show your support?

This is about building a future where every single American has the opportunity to thrive. The American Jobs Plan is how we can rebuild the backbone of America while making sure no one gets left behind.
I refuse to sit back quietly if the current divisiveness in Washington stands in the way of us building an America that works for everyone. Historically, infrastructure has been bipartisan, so let's show the GOP that the American people are supporting President Biden's infrastructure plan » [link removed]
