Dear John,
I just sent your *2018 MID-YEAR MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT* to you in the mail.
In my accompanying letter, I explain how the Trump Administration has acted on a number of CAGW's top priorities already this year.
For example, President Trump's 2019 budget proposal drew from our "Prime Cuts" and "Congressional Pig Book" in calling to reduce or eliminate dozens of wasteful and duplicative programs. The President's proposed cuts would save taxpayers $48.4 billion next year and $3.6 trillion over 10 years.
In my letter, I also describe how President Trump continues to count on CAGW for our specific recommendations to slash government waste and rein in federal spending and for our proven ability to rally the support of taxpayers from all across the country to end business as usual in Washington.
John, the clout that CAGW wields in Washington on behalf of taxpayers depends on the support of our Charter Members like you. You make our work possible, and you are essential to our continued success in the coming months.
That's why I need your *MID-YEAR MEMBERSHIP CONTRIBUTION [ [link removed] ]* today. With November's elections approaching, it's vitally important that CAGW has the resources necessary to drive the election-year debate over the size and cost of government in order to secure commitments from candidates to make deep cuts in wasteful spending.
Please read my letter and make your largest possible donation as soon as possible. "Thank you. "
Sincerely,
Thomas A. Schatz
President
P.S. John, to help us continue our most critical waste-fighting efforts alongside President Trump in the second half of 2018, please make your *MID-YEAR MEMBERSHIP CONTRIBUTION [ [link removed] ]* of *$ [ [link removed] ]*, *$* [ [link removed] ], or even *$ [ [link removed] ]* online today!
