But they aren't stopping there, friend. If Governor Gretchen Whitmer vetoes their — which she already said she will — the Michigan GOP said they will gather the signatures necessary for a legislative initiative so it can become law.

We can't let Republicans get away with this. If you can, please make an urgent donation of $10 or whatever you can to combat Republican voter suppression efforts.

Protecting the right to vote isn't just an election year issue, which is why we have a year-round voter protection program dedicated to defending our democracy.

But these programs also require a tremendous amount of support to be effective. None of this would be possible without the generosity of Democrats like you -- and right now, with the GOP waging an all-out assault on voters' access to the ballot box, now is not a time for us to scale back.
