Vaccine Hesitancy: What Journalists Need to Know
Dear Poynter Supporter,
Mass vaccination is the key to ending the COVID-19 pandemic. So why are approximately 40% of Americans not planning to be vaccinated? What role do journalists play in convincing people they should?
Join Poynter senior faculty Joie Chen ([link removed]) as she speaks with Dr. Jennifer Kates ([link removed]) of the Kaiser Family Foundation. You’ll learn the most up-to-date information about who’s not getting the vaccines and why. We’ll also speak with KTRK/ABC13’s anchor Chauncy Glover ([link removed]) about his experience with COVID-19 and how he’s helped Houston viewers get the facts about the vaccine. We’ll learn why experts believe local journalists can make a critical difference in keeping communities informed.
You are invited to tune in for this free On Poynt session on Wednesday, March 31 at noon Eastern time.
