Dear John,
The Bill of Rights Institute ([link removed]) , a trusted leader in social studies education for over 20 years, is excited to offer a series of webinars starting next month for Colorado teachers. We know you're working hard this semester to serve your student and we want to give you a chance to be the learner! Each webinar will be lead by a BRI scholar and professional development presenter. Participants who attend live will be able to participant in live Q&A and will be awarded 2 PD hours for attendance.
April 6th - Votes for Women ([link removed]) |
This webinar will look at different perspectives of the women’s suffrage movement across the United States, challenging assumptions of society and gender roles at the time through a variety of voices in the movement. It will feature our Votes for Women resource.
April 14th - 20th Century United States History ([link removed]) | This webinar will explore how the American experiment plays out in the foreign and domestic policy of modern America and will showcase our new digital resource, Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
April 22nd - Presidents and the Constitution ([link removed]) |
This webinar will discuss the virtues needed for the office of the President, while examining the individuals who exemplified those characteristics during their tenure in office. This webinar will showcase our Presidents & The Constitution resource.
Registrations will be reviewed by BRI staff. These webinar episodes are best suited for middle and high school social studies, U.S. history, and civics teachers in the state of Colorado. This webinar will be shared with participants who sign-up but are unable to attend live.
