The fossil fuel industry’s plastics and petrochemical plants emit massive amounts of air and climate pollution. But for years, the federal government has given Big Oil & Gas a blank check to continue with more fracking, pipelines and petrochemical facilities, ignoring the sickness, death and damage they cause.
For years, petrochemical companies have destroyed entire communities, from the shale fields of Pennsylvania to the petrochemical corridor of Louisiana, prioritizing their own profits over human lives.
To stop climate change and save lives, we have to stop the dirty, deep-pocketed fossil fuel, petrochemical and plastics industries, and ban fracking once and for all.

This isn’t just an environmental problem; it’s an issue of racial and economic justice as well. Low-income and Black and Brown communities are twice as likely to be exposed to toxic air and water pollution. And Harvard researchers found a direct link between the most severe symptoms of COVID-19 and air pollution.
