Like many other grandparents, it’s important to me that we protect our planet and environment for future generations like my grandson Charlie.

Here in Maryland, our environment is an important aspect of our culture -- from our beloved Chesapeake Bay, to the beaches we visit in the summer, and outdoor recreation that’s helping us safely get out of the house during the pandemic. It’s also a major component of our state’s economy, providing revenue and jobs that keep our communities going.

Climate change poses a real, serious, and imminent threat to our planet and our way of life. I’m working in Congress and with the Biden Administration to take swift and significant climate action to reverse the anti-environment policies of the Trump Administration, combat the effects of climate change, and protect our environment for generations to come.

It

including
improving

to
clean

and
supporting

There’s still so much to be done to course correct and undo the damage done by climate change. With President Biden in the White House and Democratic majorities in both chambers of Congress, we’re in a strong position to enact bold legislation that meets the magnitude of this crisis.

We need to protect our slim House Majority so we can continue to take steps to combat climate change and protect our environment, but Washington Republicans are already attacking Democrats like me in hopes of turning the House red. With the end-of-month deadline coming up the day after tomorrow, I need to ask: Will you chip in to help defend this crucial blue seat and our House Majority? [[link removed]]
