SANCTUARY
[{CAMPAIGNPAGE_URL~66474~[link removed]}]
Dixie the elephant appeared severely emaciated in recent months. Since then, she
disappeared from The Preserve’s website and apparently hasn’t been used in
public exhibitions. It may be too late for her, but we need your help urging the
pseudo-sanctuary to release the remaining elephants—Tai, Kitty, Rosie, and
Becky—to an accredited sanctuary where they can roam, forage, socialize, and
play on their own terms.

the premises. Compassionate people like you helped make this huge victory a
reality for bettas—now, take the next step by urging Petco to end its sale of
betta fish and all animals immediately.

[[link removed]]FACT-CHECKED: A MONKEY SHORTAGE DOESN’T EXIST FOR COVID-19 EXPERIMENTS
[{EXTERNAL_URL~[link removed]}]
PETA took to Twitter to break down the facts after The New York Times published a misleading article stating that last year, experimenters were
scrambling to find monkeys in order to develop vaccines—but in reality, vaccines
were already in development. More monkey studies would only delay getting
vaccines to people. An article by primatologist Dr. Lisa Jones-Engel
[[link removed]] explains why we need modern science that uses reliable, animal-free research
methods, not monkeys.

Kentucky Horse Racing Commission, and it confirmed that it’s investigating the
incident.

Experimenters drowned mice and rats and forced others to run to exhaustion on an
electrified treadmill so that companies could market foods and beverages using
dubious anti-fatigue health claims. Following years of pressure from PETA, the
Taiwan Food and Drug Administration announced a groundbreaking decision to
delete all such animal tests from a draft regulation, but it still needs to hear
from you before it finalizes its decision.
