North Carolina home, transported him to a PETA mobile clinic for his

Bandit’s story might not have had such a happy ending without the help of our
clinics. If he had impregnated just one dog, she (and her offspring) would have been
able to produce some 67,000 puppies in just six years , many of whom would likely have ended up abandoned, chained or penned in
lonely backyards to be used as living burglar alarms or surrendered to already
overburdened animal shelters.

Spaying and neutering is the single most effective way to prevent such misery,
and with every sterilization surgery our clinics perform, we do more to stop
this crisis and help animals.
