Arizona’s leisure and hospitality sector, which has been hit hard by the pandemic, is expected to bounce back and experience a 12.8 percent annualized growth rate. That means adding 69,901 jobs — the fastest job growth rate of any sector included in the report.

Governor Ducey Issues Executive Order To Assess Learning Loss, Ensure Students Stay On Track ([link removed])
Governor Ducey this week signed an Executive Order directing the State Board of Education to study student assessment data and identify the learning loss that occurred during the pandemic. The issuance of the order followed the Governor’s signing of HB 2402, which ensures students continue to be evaluated and provides flexibility around the state’s school grading system.

Governor Ducey, ADOT Advance $230 Million In New Transportation Investments Statewide ([link removed])
The new transportation infrastructure investments will enhance highway safety and meet the demand of new residents moving to Arizona. The funding comes from transportation dollars, including higher than anticipated revenue amid Arizona’s strong economic recovery, and federal COVID-relief funds.
