New Report: Arizona To Add 325,000+ Jobs By Spring 2022
Arizona’s leisure and hospitality sector, which has been hit hard by the pandemic, is expected to bounce back and experience a 12.8 percent annualized growth rate. That means adding 69,901 jobs — the fastest job growth rate of any sector included in the report.Â
Associated Press: Report: Arizona On Track For 11% Jobs Increase Over 2 Years
"State researchers say Arizona’s economy appears to be on a two-year track for significant employment growth through early next year, with a projected jobs increase of about 11% from the second quarter of 2020 to the second quarter of 2022."

"According to a Feb. 4 Redfin report, the Valley recorded net inflow of 82,601 residents in 2020, the most of any metro area last year. Net inflow — a metro area’s gain in new residents after accounting for departures — is yet another measure articulating the recent population growth in central Arizona."
Governor Ducey Issues Executive Order To Assess Learning Loss, Ensure Students Stay On Track
Governor Ducey this week signed an Executive Order directing the State Board of Education to study student assessment data and identify the learning loss that occurred during the pandemic. The issuance of the order followed the Governor’s signing of HB 2402, which ensures students continue to be evaluated and provides flexibility around the state’s school grading system.
Governor Ducey, ADOT Advance $230 Million In New Transportation Investments Statewide
The new transportation infrastructure investments will enhance highway safety and meet the demand of new residents moving to Arizona. The funding comes from transportation dollars, including higher than anticipated revenue amid Arizona’s strong economic recovery, and federal COVID-relief funds.
