Ted Cruz -- the man who gleefully mocked Californians as they begged for wildfire relief and happily voted against providing federal aid to Hurricane Sandy victims -- suddenly has no problem asking Biden and the federal government for financial aid.

Cruz's despicable response to being called out for his hypocrisy? He issued a tweet saying, "I got no defense," accompanied by a shrugging emoji.

You read that correctly -- Ted Cruz used a shrugging emoji to admit he only believes in providing Americans with federal relief when the disaster affects him.

In one of our country's greatest times of need, Cruz has now consistently demonstrated just how little regard for human life he truly has.
