Cruz's despicable response to being called out for his hypocrisy? He issued a tweet saying, “I got no defense,” accompanied by a shrugging emoji.
You read that correctly -- Ted Cruz used a shrugging emoji to admit he only believes in providing Americans with federal relief when the disaster affects him.
