Reading the diary of a middle-class professional and family man hit
directly by the economic devastation of the Great Depression feels
uncannily like reading a modern-day newsfeed.

Of course, there are differences between the situation then and the one
now, but the thing that stands out the most is that there is hope for
light after the darkness and the struggles.
