NEWS TO WATCH
An exciting announcement from Pennsylvania’s first out Black state Representative, Malcolm Kenyatta : he’s running for the U.S. Senate [[link removed]] . Kenyatta would make history as America’s first out Black Senator [[link removed]] !
Pennsylvania’s first out state legislator, Brian Sims , also announced his plans to run for Lieutenant Governor [[link removed]] . He would be the first out lieutenant governor of a U.S. state [[link removed]] and just the second in U.S. history (shout out to Guam Lt. Gov. Josh Tenorio)!
Rhode Island is searching for a new lieutenant governor, and we have a recommendation: nominate state Senator Donna Nesselbush to the post! Nesselbush would make history as the first openly LGBTQ person to ever serve in a statewide position in Rhode Island [[link removed]] .
