I led efforts to ensure that the House’s COVID relief package was as
strong as it could be, and I fought for it to include a $15 minimum wage.
When some lawmakers tried to weaken the benefits in the package by taking
survival checks away from 40 million people who received them last time, I
prevented these cuts with the help of my progressive colleagues.

As Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, I’m ready to continue
leading on policies that will put money in people’s pockets and lift
families up. Passing a robust COVID relief bill is one key part of that
work as we transform this country.
