I wanted to make sure you heard the news: CNN just broke the details of a despicable exchange between Governor Cuomo and Assemblyman Ron Kim from Queens, in which Cuomo demanded that Kim help “cover-up” the COVID nursing home scandal or Cuomo would “destroy” Kim’s career.

This is an unacceptable and disgusting abuse of power. We can’t stand by while the governor threatens and attacks a sitting assemblymember of his own party. Beyond that, the governor has a say in most decisions that affect New York City, from budget and taxes to emergency aid and overseeing the MTA. How he leads matters.
