** A Renewed Focus on Data from the New Administration

Data is essential for understanding what’s happening during the pandemic and how to best support students. Otherwise, leaders are left to make critical decisions in the dark. With the Biden administration’s recent executive orders and memos, it’s clear that they are prioritizing data.

What President Biden’s COVID-19 Response Executive Order Means for Education Data ([link removed]) : President Biden signed an executive order on education as part of his administration’s COVID-19 response plan. DQC President and CEO Jennifer Bell-Ellwanger writes about how the Biden administration is doubling down on the value of data to uncover what’s working, where and for whom—prioritizing data that shines a light on inequities and disparities in services and outcomes.
