Dear Team,

I wanted to make sure you saw this email. Immigration is a
top priority for Yvette, and she has been working to push reform
through Congress.

Now with President Biden in office, we're hopeful that not
only will we pass sweeping immigration reform but also COVID-19
relief.

If you want to learn more about Yvette's immigration
plans, come to our event on February 17th. You can RSVP here.

Subject: Yvette’s work on immigration

Dear friend – I’ve watched for
years as Yvette has worked hard to better America’s immigration
policy.

My immigration story is not so different from many others.
When I first came to America from Jamaica, I was a student
looking for higher education. I came with aspirations of finding
a new home and making a difference.

I have continued to live my American dream as a
councilwoman in Brooklyn, advocating for better education,
housing reform, and helping immigrants make a prosperous life
here.

So, I am immensely proud of the
work Yvette has done. Not only has she,

* Led the charge to protect DACA recipients and those
affected by deferred enforced departure,

* introduced a bipartisan bill called the ASPIRE Act (H.R.4384),
that would provide relief to all temporary protected status
eligible individuals,

* she is also a proponent for abolishing ICE, not to mention a
co-sponsor of H.R.1013, the ICE, and CBP Body Camera
Accountability Act,

* and also co-leading the Closers Immigration bill and the
Roadmap to Freedom Resolution.

While these are only a few of the pieces of legislation
that she has introduced in Congress, she is also Co-Chair of the
Caribbean Caucus, where she is working to build the relationship
between the United States and the Caribbean Community (CARICOM)
on matters of trade, immigration reform, and direct investment
through development programs.
