Hi everybody!


The Bread and Roses working group is happy to announce that the fund drive
to raise money to purchase personal and home care items for those in need
is off the ground. We will be accepting donations through February 7th,
after which we will be accepting requests for care items. Care items will
be delivered to recipients directly. Please distribute the info to your
loved ones and communities! And please let us know if you or someone you
know have questions or would like to receive a package. More info below.

For many, *the cost of personal care, paper products, and cleaning supplies
are prohibitively expensive*. Though essential for physical health and
well-being, these items cannot be purchased with SNAP benefits. Government
insurance programs either limit reimbursements or do not cover such costs
at all. Everyone should have access to these basic necessities! Life under
capitalism is relentless, and *we must take responsibility for caring for
each other’s needs*, especially during this harsh and uncertain time.

*Berkshires DSA hopes to distribute more than 50 assembled-to-order care
packages *to our neighbors countywide. *In mid February, we will accept
requests* using a confidential form until we reach the maximum available
amount of deliveries. We will fulfill requests to the extent that is
possible for us. *If you would like to request a care package, stay tuned
for details! *

If you would like to get involved or to arrange a donation, please email
