We meet regularly to talk about what's happening in the chapter, democratically decide on what we want to work on, and smash capitalism.

** Here's what we're planning:

* Political education! On Feb. 7th, the TCDSA SocFems Reading Group will be discussing We Will Not Cancel Us: And Other Dreams of Transformative Justice by adrienne maree brown. We'll share what we've learned from this book with the chapter and discuss it further at the February General Meeting. We Will Not Cancel Us is about cancel/call-out culture and its impact on activists today, specifically as it relates to transformative justice and abolition. How do we address harm in a way that reflects our values? Come prepared to discuss this question and more. We will be providing a short section of the book to read before the meeting to aid in breakout discussions.
* Electoral strategy! The Electoral Working Group will discuss local elections that are coming up in 2021, including Minneapolis Mayor, City Council, Charter amendments and more. The EWG will also lay out a proposed 2021 Endorsement process: how our chapter will vet endorsement-seekers and vote to determine which candidates TCDSA should endorse. Finally, the EWG will give a preview of what a TCDSA Electoral campaign might look like, including many opportunities for chapter members to get involved and lead.
