Hello,

The very first bill I ever voted for in Congress was the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act . Seriously — then-Vice President Joe Biden swore me into the Senate, I immediately walked straight to the floor, and voted yes for pay equality.

Twelve years later, we are still fighting for equal pay. It is unconscionable that there is still a gender wage gap in this country. Everyone — regardless of gender — deserves equal pay for equal work.

That’s why I’m so proud to introduce the Paycheck Fairness Act this year under a Democratic majority in Washington. This historic legislation will seek to eliminate gender pay gap and rebuke pay discrimination.

It’s time for Congress to finally pass the Paycheck Fairness Act and ensure our laws reflect our ideals. Will you sign my petition calling on Congress to pass this critical bill and guarantee equal pay for equal work? [[link removed]]

Thanks for adding your name today. There is nothing more powerful than people coming together and using our collective voice to fight for what’s right.
