Dear John,
Emgage congratulates President Joe Biden on his inauguration and for fulfilling his campaign promise to rescind Trump's discriminatory Muslim Ban.

Joe Biden inauguration: Washington prepares for historic day [[link removed]]

In 2015, Trump called for a "total and complete shutdown" of Muslims entering the U.S. Following his election, his first order as president was to ban travel from Muslim majority countries including Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen. Congress responded in 2019 by introducing the NO BAN Act. In 2020, Trump expanded that ban to include Nigeria, Eritrea, Tanzania, Sudan, Kyryzstan and Myanmar. For years now, families and loved ones have been stuck abroad or heatlessly split up by this policy.

We are happy to say that despite this chaos, and the recent violent insurrection that Trump incited, the era of Trump is OVER. Today, the Biden Administration has delivered on their campaign promise by signing an executive order to repeal Trump's Muslim Ban.

The Muslim Ban might be coming to an end, but our work is no where near done. We need to ensure that no such discriminatory ban is ever implemented again, and that the Biden Administration makes it a priority to review ALL visa/immigration cases denied over the last four years and to provide support to those stuck in limbo within the administrative process.
