We can pursue a progressive agenda with a Democratic trifecta!

The inauguration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris is the start of our recovery from the reign of terror and lawlessness under Donald Trump. Trump’s disappearance from the stage will not diminish the number of Americans who are willing to sacrifice even their own self-interest and safety to preserve white supremacy. It will not undo the damage done by four years of cruel, vindictive, and ignorant policy-making. The politics of hate and greed remain alive and well.

But now we can hope. We can hope for a President who honors the law and bases decisions on what’s best for the whole country. We can hope for an administration of qualified staffers who will work with a Democratic-controlled Congress to make America more fair and just. We can hope for a government that provides access to health care for all, redresses social and economic inequity, bases foreign policy on cooperation instead of coercion, and fights for our lives by addressing climate change.

In this spirit of renewed hope, Indivisible SF has composed an open letter to President Biden, Vice President Harris, and our Members of Congress ([link removed]) that urges them to continue to pursue the ideals of a free and fair democracy for every American.

Don’t delay - VOTE in the ADEM election!

The ADEM ([link removed]) election sets the direction of California’s Democratic Party, and we hope you registered before the deadline earlier this week. Your ballot should be in the mail soon, and just in time, ISF’s voter guides are here.

Once you get your ballot, please fill it out and drop it in the mailbox as soon as possible—ballots must be received by January 27 to be counted. Learn how to fill out your ADEM ballot here. ([link removed])

And it’s time to meet your candidates. We gathered as much information as we could on the slates and candidates for districts covering San Francisco, Oakland, San Mateo, and parts of the Bay Area. Read our candidate guide here. ([link removed])

All this and more is available at [link removed].

Come join our Working Groups!

Our State and Local Working Group is proud to deliver our ADEM guide to you in time for the election. We are now forming our legislative priorities to achieve progressive change in California and San Francisco. If you’d like to participate, join us at one of our General Meetings or a Working Group meeting (see below).

Our Federal Working Group is pivoting to the post-2020 landscape of a Democratic trifecta in the House, Senate, and White House. Over the coming year, we will focus on undoing the damage of the last four years and enacting badly needed progressive reforms. If you’d like to join, come to a General Meeting or one of our Working Group meetings!

We’d welcome your participation.
