When We All Vote
------------------------------

John,

Earlier this month, Georgia made history electing its first Black U.S. senator, Reverend Raphael Warnock. This was a victory decades in the making, made possible by the Civil Rights Movement led by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and carried on by organizers and volunteers -- many of whom were led by women of color.

Georgia’s organizers, voters, and volunteers are a powerful contrast to the violent insurrection we witnessed at the Capitol a few days ago and a reminder of what democracy should always look like.

On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, I’m especially proud of how When We All Vote trained volunteers, rallied partners, and educated voters in my home state of Georgia during the runoff election for U.S. Senate. Here are a few highlights:

- Registered 21,000 Georgia voters during the general and runoff elections
- Trained over 100 volunteers to turn their communities out to vote at polling places
- Hosted 50 early voting events across Georgia with our partners
- Put on an epic drive-in concert with performances by Monica, Rick Ross, DJ Drama, Jack Harlow and Pastor Troy ( Watch this video to relive the excitement from our Celebrate Georgia! drive-in concert! [[link removed]] )

This is only the beginning. Georgia showed us that through hard work and organizing our communities, we can bring more people into the political process. We can continue striving to fulfill our potential as a democracy -- one where every eligible voter participates in every election without unnecessary barriers.

We have a long road ahead of us, especially as we begin to heal the divisions in our nation, but that never stopped Dr. King. I’m excited to continue working together to educate voters and build a stronger, more inclusive democracy. It’s never been more important.

Thanks for being in this fight with us.
