The St. Louis Caucus of Black Methodist for Church Renewal has identified that leadership among both laity and clergy is a key need in churches. The caucus took action to apply for a grant to come alongside the annual conference to identify and develop more leaders; not just deacons and elders, but leadership at every level of the church - local, district and general. Learn more about the Ignite Leadership Summit to be held Saturday January 30 from 8:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. This free summit is a virtual event with amazing speakers. This event is for all African American laity and clergy willing to serve in a leadership role in their church, or other people who are serving in historically or predominantly black churches. “We believe your gifts will make room for you. But you gotta move!” NOTE: This event is open to everyone who values the renewal of black churches, whether they are a part of one or not. All are invited and welcomed to participate.
