Yesterday was a terrifying day, not only for members of Congress
and our staff, but also for our Democracy. The President MUST be
held accountable for inciting and encouraging this violence. It
is well past time for him to be removed from office.

In America, we recognize the will of the people to ensure a
smooth transition of power from one president to the next.

But the President continues to incite violence rather than
quelling the Capitol rioters, who were threatening the lives of
everyone in the building. Tonight, I'll be signing on to an
impeachment resolution. If the Cabinet fails to take action,
Congress will.
