The country has just entered another lockdown. The truth is that we are
being forced to lockdown again because our NHS IS AT BREAKING POINT. Any
further increases in infection rates in our towns and cities, will see our
hospitals enter full-blown crisis mode.

THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A MORE IMPORTANT TIME TO SAFEGUARD OUR NHS, INCLUDING
FROM TRADE DEALS.

Can you email your MP now and, IN YOUR OWN WORDS, ask them to pledge to
protect our NHS from trade deals by stopping trade deals being signed in
secret?

In December last year, you emailed your MP and asked them to pledge to vote
to protect our NHS by stopping trade deals being signed in secret. 30 MPs -
from every party and every nation - have taken the pledge. But that is far
from enough.

When we asked you to email your MP last year, we asked you to click to send
an email text we suggested.

NOW WE WANT YOU TO WRITE THEM IN YOUR OWN WORDS so that they they won't
have any excuse not to reply and sign the pledge.

HERE ARE SOME REASONS YOU COULD USE (PUT THEM IN YOUR OWN WORDS) FOR
EXPLAINING TO YOUR MP WHY THEY SHOULD TAKE THE PLEDGE: 

* YOU WORK IN THE NHS (if you do) and you can see it go downhill as a
result of privatisation,

* THE NHS HAS SAVED YOUR LIFE or that of a family member (if it has),

* THE NHS IS UNDER IMMENSE PRESSURE FROM COVID19, and the way private
companies have handled track and trace shows they cannot be trusted in our
NHS,

* THE NHS BELONGS TO US and not to foreign private companies, and

* THE PRIME MINISTER PROMISED THE NHS WILL NOT BE ON THE TABLE IN TRADE
DEALS at the last election.

The recent spike in Covid-19 cases and the pressure on our NHS hospitals
have shown clearly how fragile our NHS is. There has never been a more
important time to demand that our MPs protect our NHS from being further
weakened through inclusion in a trade deal. Email your MP now! [1]
