The Supreme Court has ruled that the prorogation of Parliament was unlawful.

In short, this means that the Court has upheld parliamentary sovereignty, and as a result, my colleagues and I will be returning to Parliament tomorrow.

This is a huge moment for our democracy. The Green Party has always advocated for a grass-roots, bottom up approach to democracy, with a written constitution decided by citizen-led assemblies and electoral reform - and we need it now more than ever.

Boris Johnson is not above the law and he is not fit to be our Prime Minister.

We need more democracy, not less. The constitution should belong to the people and we must have a People’s Vote on Brexit.
