It took an all-hands-on-deck Tuesday effort by the Division of Legislative Services to process a last-minute rush of applications from citizens seeking to become part of Virginia's new Redistricting Commission. Nearly 450 applied on Monday, the deadline.
VPAP has updated its visual ([link removed]) that breaks down the 1,238 applicants by age, gender, race, region, income and party self-identification. The next step: Legislators will review the list and, by Friday, nominate at least 64 names for a panel of retired judges to consider.
