It took an all-hands-on-deck Tuesday effort by the Division of Legislative Services to process a last-minute rush of applications from citizens seeking to become part of Virginia's new Redistricting Commission. Nearly 450 applied on Monday, the deadline.
VPAP has updated its visual that breaks down the 1,238 applicants by age, gender, race, region, income and party self-identification. The next step: Legislators will review the list and, by Friday, nominate at least 64 names for a panel of retired judges to consider.
