The Jewish people face serious challenges. But we can't give up.

Dear John,

What keeps you up at night?

These days, the Jewish people have much to worry about: antisemitism continues to rise, Israel is still routinely demonized, and heightened extremism and division threaten our democratic values.

Maybe you fear for your safety at synagogue… maybe you feel that you must hide your Jewish identity at times... maybe you are concerned that you or a loved one will be the victim of an antisemitic attack.

The anxiety and unease can be overwhelming.

But through AJC, we can create hope through action. [link removed] We can bring together a global community of Jews and allies who refuse to stand idly by as antisemitism surges. And we can drive change. But only if we act.

Can we count on you to take action by supporting AJC before 2020 is through? Give today and your gift and impact will be doubled. [link removed] [link removed]

AJC is creating a safer, more secure world for Jews and, indeed, for all people of good will. Together, we’ve already made progress, but there is so much more to do [link removed].

When antisemitism rises, we stand up and confront it. [link removed] Every day, AJC is working with world leaders, government officials, law enforcement authorities, and tech giants to combat Jew-hatred. We’re providing original research, concrete policy recommendations, and our signature nuanced, nonpartisan expertise.

When division dominates, we build bridges. [link removed] In 2020, AJC championed Black-Jewish unity, made major strides in Muslim-Jewish relations, and stood with our Asian brothers and sisters as they were targeted amid the pandemic. And we saw decades of quiet AJC diplomacy pay off in a historic way: Israel formalizing ties with four Arab nations. When extremism thrives, we fight back. [link removed] Whether Jewish lives are at risk from white nationalists, Islamists, or other extremists, AJC doesn’t pull any punches. Together with government authorities, we are helping to crack down on terrorism here in America and across the globe.

No one knows what the new year will bring. But if we unite, under the banner of AJC, we can make meaningful change in the lives of Jews everywhere.

It’s up to us to create a bright, safe Jewish future. We cannot be paralyzed by despair or inaction. We must choose hope. [link removed] [link removed]

Sincerely,

David Harris
