I would like to send Seasons Greetings to you and your families and hope that whatever you do at Christmas brings some joy. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the Time to Change Champions across Nottingham who have continued to make a difference to the lives of others by challenging mental health stigma and discrimination during this strange year.

It's going to be an unusual Christmas for all of us this year - we shall all be spending time away from friends and loved ones, but there is hope on the horizon for 2021 with the new vaccines.

Whilst many of us are looking forward to Christmas, it will be different and many people will be alone. This time of year can be fun but it can also be a challenge for our mental health. People are particularly anxious this Christmas and often find it hard to explain why. If you are struggling to cope, remember you are not alone some of the national charities have some great tips about looking after ourselves at this time of year:

* Rethink Mental Illness [ [link removed] ]
* Mental Health Foundation [ [link removed] ]

Details of local mental health services are given at the end of this newsletter.
