Dear Friend,

It was not an easy year.

In 2020, USCRI's work with refugees and immigrants became more important than ever. Hundreds of our clients lost their jobs, contracted COVID-19, and struggled with paying the bills and keeping their families healthy. They turned to USCRI for help.

I am so proud of our staff and volunteers who responded tirelessly and with great dedication, and I am grateful to our donors who made this work possible under difficult circumstances.

Thanks in part to your generosity, over the past year USCRI...
* Welcomed 2,945 refugees to the U.S.
* Helped 1,500 trafficking survivors rebuild their lives
* Provided emergency cash assistance to 1,000 people
* Ensured that 6,000 refugees had access to health care
* Provided legal assistance to 1,866 people

We are now in the middle of our year-end fundraising campaign and I am asking for your support. The campaign’s theme is “It Takes a Nation.”

It takes a nation to welcome the men, women, and children from around the world who have fled persecution and unspeakable violence.

It takes a nation to stay true to our American values of fairness, justice, and an equal chance for all.

It takes a nation to disregard the falsehoods about immigrants that are so prevalent these days, and to welcome - rather than scorn - the "other."

That nation starts with you. If you are in a position to give, I humbly ask you to make a gift to USCRI today. They can't wait to join this great nation themselves.
