The same thing happens when you go to the grocery store or search for a hotel. So why isn’t this the case when you have a healthcare appointment, test, or procedure?
Knowing the price of health care is critical for a healthy, competitive market. And a healthy, competitive market is essential for our health--and the health of our finances and the economy.
That’s why the new Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) price transparency rule is crucial. And that’s why it’s important that you tell CMS how knowing prices BEFORE you receive care and being able to shop around would benefit you. ([link removed])
